Course Credit (RPL and Credit Transfer)
Credit Transfer
If you have previously completed a unit of competency at another Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or TAFE that is identical to a unit in your Inventive Institute course, you may be eligible for Credit Transfer.
Cost: Free. There is no charge to apply for Credit Transfer.
Evidence Required: You must provide a certified copy of your Statement of Attainment or Record of Results from your previous provider. Alternatively, you can provide an authenticated VET transcript issued by the USI Registrar.
Outcome: You will not have to attend classes or submit assessments for the credited units.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL
RPL is an assessment process that assesses your existing skills and knowledge—gained through work experience, life experience, or informal training—to see if they meet the requirements of the course units.
Cost: Fees Apply. Please refer to the Fees and Refunds section of the International Student Handbook for current RPL assessment costs.
Evidence Required: Evidence may include a portfolio of work, references from employers, or an interview with an assessor.
Outcome: If competent, you will receive credit for the relevant units, reducing your overall study load.
